"Do You Ever Touch the Night?"

I found a note that I jotted down when K. was out of town. I'll call it a poem, but it was just scribbles to remember for later.

It is good for women to be ugly sometimes,
but everyone forgot that I know how to be pretty, too.
I just don't care as much.
I have had sushi twice, and you're off sampling exotic fairs in the cursed state of Wisconsin.
My throat hurts.
I've been drinking all the beer.
The rain hasn't stopped.

That's strangely emotive. It has the air of a wistful letter to K, with a blank verse structure.
